After reading my fair share of self-improvement books over the years I discovered recalling many of the messages and lessons from what I read was sometimes just too overwhelming. Maybe there is such a thing as "too much good information?" And let's face it - what good is any information if you can't remember it?

What I could remember were the meaningful short stories and fables I read as a child – the stories that inspired me and taught me about life. That’s when I realized many of life's lessons could be summed up in fewer words than a well-intentioned book with hundreds of pages.

It was then "Feel Better Fables" was born: A company dedicated to delivering meaningful messages made simple. Each book takes one of life’s larger issues - grieving, anxiety and worry, overcoming obstacles, patience, changing perspective – and delivers it through the art of an illustrated short story or fable, allowing you to get those “key lessons” we’re all seeking in a faster, more fun and memorable way.

I created these stories to provide insight and understanding into the human condition and inspire the power and potential in everyone. And I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how powerful and memorable a "Feel Better Fable” can be.

Several years ago I was fortunate enough to be a part of a small business that had a big impact. It was life changing in many ways, and taught me about the power of a community and how sharing life lessons and experiences can really make a difference.

For me, this is the engine that drives Feel Better Fables. We’re not therapists, we’re not doctors, and we’re not claiming to have all of the answers. We’re people facing the same daily challenges as everyone else - we all get lost, we all worry at times, and we all could use a little guidance and encouragement. Each story we write comes from personal experience and a place of learning more about ourselves.

We’re building this company on a foundation of personal growth, visual expression and simple human truths, all wrapped up in a very fun and entertaining package. A wise man once said “There is no greatness where there is not simplicity, goodness and truth.” I believe we’re 3-for-3.

Nathanael Lark

My early creative efforts caused the simultaneous delight and exasperation of my parents, as I doodled with my crayons in the margins of all of my books and on every available scrap of paper. But what began as a simple passion has now flourished into an eclectic career that has afforded me the opportunity to create work which has been showcased through television, billboards, apparel, publications and merchandising.

My motto? I always draw and paint with the belief that “what’s from the heart reaches the heart.”
